What is your biggest running accomplishment on the concrete?

Conquering the hills of San Francisco training for and running the Nike Women's Half Marathon 2011 and 2014 are my biggest accomplishments!  I've also gotten to know the world of triathlons and ran the running leg of the 2015 Oakland Triathlon.  AT&T Spartan Sprint and Tough Mudder in Lake Tahoe were also big first time experiences this year!

Why do you run?

Running is not only an exhilarating form of stress relief, but it's also a great way to stay healthy and fit  I run for long distance endurance and for strength training.  Life gets pretty busy, but letting it all go through running and leaving it on the concrete is a fun way of pressing the "reset" button.  The best part about Concrete Runners is meeting like-minded people who also enjoy running and motivate each other to get on your feet and keep going!

What inspires you?

People inspire me.  Family, friends, and community.  People's stories of where they came from and where they're going inspire me.  It's very motivating to see different people of different stories and backgrounds, coming together for common goals.  That common goal can be as simple as reaching a finish line.  The journey to the finish line is the fun part!
